December 2017

Hi, Everyone. I can’t believe it’s already December.

As we embark on this Holiday season, I am reminded of memories from my childhood. One of my family traditions was getting in our PJ’s and then driving around Houston, TX to look at Christmas lights. I want to encourage you to take a moment and see this season through your child’s eyes for all the joy and excitement it brings them.  I hope you all enjoy making memories with your child during this season.

Please join us next Friday for our annual Cookie Decorating Party! Details below.

Have a wonderful break--we’ll see you in 2018!

Cookie Decorating Party: Please join us for our annual Cookie Decorating Party on Friday, Dec. 15 at 3:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We will be serving sugar cookies and spiced apple cider. Thanks, as always, to Jennifer for her hard work in making this happen.

Gate: I know that the gate latch is not working well.  I met with a fencing company about fixing the latch.  Thanks for you patience as we get this fixed.

Feast of Thanksgiving:Thank you to all of the families for coming out and sharing in our feast. It was wonderful to see families gathered together. I know that I speak for many of us when I express my gratitude to Jennifer for spending so much of her personal time creating this annual experience for us.

Thank You:  We made $646.94 in Scholastic Dollars from sales at our Book Fair!  This money can be spent on books and other teacher resources from the Scholastic catalog.  Our lead teachers are enjoying ordering fun things for their classrooms, thanks to you.

Warm Weather Clothes: Finally, we have some colder weather!  Please remember to check that your child has extra cold weather clothes in his/her cubby in case a change is needed in the middle of the day.  Also, we venture outside unless there is rain, so please make sure to send your child in coats, hats, gloves that allow them to get outside and run off some energy!
