August 2016 News

From Your Director:

Welcome to the start of a new school year!  I say this a lot but I really do mean it:  We know that it takes a big leap of faith for you to leave your children with us. We truly appreciate that you have given us your trust and will continue to work hard to earn it.

An especially big welcome to all of our new families.  We hope that you and your children are getting settled in at First English.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Breakfast:  Just a quick reminder that breakfast is officially over at 9:00.  If possible, try to arrive by 8:30 if you want your child to eat with us.  If you arrive towards the end of breakfast and your child’s class is still in the Fellowship Hall, we might not be able to stay while he/she finishes eating. Please help us out by sitting with your child and then returning him/her to class after breakfast.

Cups:  Those of you who attended the new class meetings, may recall that I talked a little about water cups.  For those who missed it, I mentioned that it might be a good idea to switch your child’s water cup/bottle periodically. Since we wash and use them daily, they don’t have much of a chance to dry out.  Also, if you are looking for a new water cup/bottle, please look for one that has the least number of parts you can find.  We have a terrible time with losing straws in the sanitizer!  Here is one that we like and have been seeing a lot lately:

It is called the Munchkin Miracle 360 sippy cup and is available from Amazon.

Treat our teachers:  We love candy and sweets of all kinds.  If you  have leftover sweets that you need to dispose of, we are happy to help!

Survey:  If your child attended First English last year, please use the link below and take a minute to fill out our survey to let us know what we are doing well and what we could be doing better.  We value your feedback!
